The face of evil.

There really is no other word for him. Monster? Sociopathic sexual predator? I don't think we can ever truly know the depths of his pathology.

Thanks for keeping the focus on Garvey. Sure, Mosco and Sennett are imbeciles and should be kicked off the board. But let's give the devil his due. Despite what he said when he retired, it is all about winning. And he absolutely did not retire. Garvey is still calling the shots. He speaks of loyalty, but where is his loyalty to you? This sadistic megalomaniac is gonna drag everything and everybody down with him. Never forget, it is Garvey who is the most responsible for this. Evil doesn't do him justice.

Has there ever been a more evil man living among us in the history of the city of Erie? Why is this man not in jail? Where is the justice?

The sad thing is that in all likelihood, someone created Garvey. Who gave him his Greco-Roman-Nambla-Svengali ideology? What powerful predator did he fall under the influence of? I'm in no way excusing Garvey's behaviour, but who was his model? Alarmingly, take a hard look around at those you know may have modeled their lives after Garvey's. What does that mean for our children?

This point has been made numerous times in both of these forums, but I really feel the need to make it once again: What the HELL is wrong with the faculty and sisters at Mercyhurst? Want to solve the problem? Faculty issues a public statement/ad that's the opposite of the one Garvey's supporters placed in the Times calling for resignations, Sister of Mercy do the same thing, press conferences, strikes, letters, etc. etc. Are they worried about losing their jobs? How would it look if most/all of the faculty and non-corrupt administrators spoke out in public and then got fired? I hope that some of them are reading this; if any of them are, PLEASE, DO SOMETHING!

I agree. Colleges don't run without people to teach. The faculty can take a stand. They would never receive the same protection from the board if similar allegations were leveled against one of them.

1. Today's times had an article about the dedication of the new Ridge building at Mercyhurst's North East campus. The VIPs at this function were the Moscos, the Ridges, and "former" prez William Garvey. "Current" president Michael McQuillen was MIA.

2. Quote: "Mosco and most other speakers attributed much of Mercyhurst's success to the vision and leadership of retired Mercyhurst College President William Garvey."

3. psy·cho·path n. A person with an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive, perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy or remorse.
